If you are staying at Summer Camp in Oak Bluffs, there is no real need to rent a car. Everything is very walkable. You can rent bikes if you want to explore the island this way. There are many places in town to do so.

✈️ Flying onto the island:

If you are coming from the West Coast, you'll want to fly into either JFK or Boston. From there, Delta, JetBlue, and Cape Air have flights into the MVY airport.

The other option is to fly into Boston and drive to the ferry. This is also the best option for our East Coast family.

If you are traveling without a car, you can easily buy a ticket at the Steamship Authority and walk on.

If you are traveling WITH a car 🚘 that you want to bring onto the island, you will need to schedule a reservation with the Streamship Authority.
